Communications

Communications is the seller's built-in messaging — a direct thread with the marketplace admin, and (where available) with customers — so questions, requests, and clarifications happen in one place instead of scattered email.

What you'll learn

  • Who a seller can message
  • How the conversation works
  • How email notifications and blocking behave

Messaging the admin

Open Communication in the Seller Panel. It's a chat thread with the admin — type a message, attach a file (image, PDF, or document) if needed, and send. Past messages stay in the thread, unread messages are marked, and you can search back through the history over a date range.

The admin has the matching view on their side, so replies appear in the same conversation. The admin can also clear a chat or block a seller who's misusing it — a blocked seller can't send new messages.

Messaging customers

Where enabled, sellers can also message the customers who've bought from them, and customers can message sellers back from their own account. Open Communication → Customers, pick a customer from the list, and exchange messages in the thread — with the same attachment support. These conversations send email notifications to the other party (each side can turn their own emails off), and either party can be blocked.

TIP

Use Communication with the admin for anything that needs their attention — onboarding questions, policy clarifications, payout queries. For a conversation about a specific return, use the message thread on the RMA request instead, so it stays tied to that return.
