Rating Management

Customers can rate and review both the products they buy and the sellers they buy from. Ratings build trust across the marketplace — sellers see their feedback, and the admin moderates everything before it appears on the storefront.

What you'll learn

  • The two kinds of review and who can leave them
  • Where a seller sees their ratings
  • How the admin moderates reviews

Who can review

A review can only be left by a customer who has actually bought the product (or bought from the seller), and each customer can review a given product or seller once. Every review starts as pending and stays hidden until an admin approves it — so the storefront only ever shows vetted feedback.

The seller's view

  • Seller reviews — a customer can rate a seller's service and shop. The seller sees these under Performance → Seller Reviews, with the customer, rating, title, description, status, and date.
Seller reviews in the Seller Panel
  • Product reviews — customers also review individual products; the seller finds reviews of their listings under Performance → Product Reviews. Both views are read-only — moderation is the admin's job.

Moderation (admin)

Reviews carry a statusPending, Approved, or Disapproved — and the admin decides which go live:

  • Seller reviews — under Marketplace → Sellers → Seller Reviews, the admin approves or disapproves reviews with the Update Status bulk action (select one or more rows), and can delete a review directly from its row.
Admin seller review moderation
  • Product reviews — under Marketplace → Catalog → Product Reviews, the admin can view a review and approve / disapprove it, individually or in bulk.

Only approved reviews appear on the storefront.

TIP

Encourage buyers to leave reviews — a strong, approved rating history feeds into Featured Sellers and lifts your account health.
